Memory of Childhood

This painting was born from memory — not only of a specific place in the Rivne region, but of that inner space of childhood, where the world seemed whole and full of the silent presence of the eternal.

The old wooden church rises among the greenery not as a separate building, but as a natural extension of the earth, trees and sky.

It grows out of the surrounding world, merging with it in the harmony of light, color and time.

The architecture here does not oppose nature — it lives in one rhythm with it, reminding of the ancient connection of man, faith and earth.

The impressionistic manner allows us to convey not so much form as feeling.

Sunlight glides along the walls, gets lost in the leaves of the trees and dissolves the boundaries between the material and the spiritual. The space is filled with a soft glow, in which the past becomes present, and memory takes on an almost tangible form.

Three themes are intertwined in this work: childhood memory, divine harmony and eternity.

The church becomes a symbol of what generations experience and remains unchanged through the passage of time. It preserves not only architectural beauty, but also the memory of human destinies, prayers, hopes and the light that each person carries through life.
